Gandhi Jayanti 2nd October A tribute

 Today is 2nd October 

Mahatma Gandhi Birth day ।

Gandhiji had a significant contribution in bringing together people from different communities and princely States (630) to form a national mainstream of patriotism ।

He promoted power of non violent means and negotiations taking cue from our shastras and Lord Budhdha।

He knew well that against might of British we could never win in battle।

No need to repeat well known works of Gandhi।

His contribution can only be understood by stepping in 1940 shoes।

While Gandhi led peaceful and nonviolent path of negotiations, civil noncooperation, Subhash Bose led armed rebellion against the british might attacking from Burma inwards।

No one or two men could achieve the monumental task of liberation।

He was spiritual leader to mobilise masses।He and other great revolutionaries of those times worked together। For almost 100 years।

But moot point is have we made use of this freedom or still behaving in colonial mindset ?

On this day it is fit ask and look inside oneself ।What is my contribution and am I truthful honest sensitive to weak and disabled।

If we do we sure can make micro level changes right bottom upwards from  our home, neighborhood and work place।

Things have decayed over 73 years।Much blood has flown ।

It must stop !

Corruption, crimes ,hatred, blind pursuit of materialistic pleasures and aping West still।

Gandhiji loved to recite the bhajan:

 Vashnav Jan to taine kahiye....

Not written by him but by a well known Saint Narsee Mehta of erstwhile Gujarat।
