I just replied to a question on Quora about Teacher asking a teenaged girl offering sex for good grades.

My reply posted :

Main theory is Teacher seeking any reward cash, gifts , sex, or corruption in whatever form is a degeneration of social morality and character

"It many times happens that sex being natural urge , students get attracted to opposite sex teacher and they see role model in them too. Many times teachers wed former student. Sex specially after age of 18 is natural urge but there is difference between animals and humans. Women have been weak point of many kings and politicians in past. Many wars were fought just for women.

Now coming to question. Relation of teacher and student should be of father and daughter or mother and son. Love and care , guidance with patience and nobility in mind. Teachers are creator of morality and character in society. Teachers are traditional Indian Guru and friend philosopher and guide.

But now things have gone bad. Young generation is becoming liberal in sexual orientation and spend lesser time in studies . Too much sexual content is available to child on internet. They want to fix things practically and materialistically. Bribe culture too is very significant now.

To much liberty to women in name of women emancipation and empowerment.

Being form modern India , and being a teacher and professor , I have handled Teens to 45 years old students.

Never have intimacy with any opposite sex student. Be firm and make it clear. Even punish by marginally reducing grades and let student know about this. We cant built healthy society, otherwise.

I never favored any one specially those offering bribe or threatening with names of ministers and contacts . We need such bureaucrats and teachers. Education and healthcare and judiciary is not business

Education should be given with fun not being treated as vehicle for fun. Be open with students and friendly but just keep social distance

Willful sex of adults without any consideration is not taboo though. But it should be avoided in lower than Masters and Research level community . To have sex for giving or taking reward is corruption and crime.

No more arguments. This is just my advice to teaching community. Parents should be more caring and watchful about their child’s conduct in and out of home. Don't force courses they cant go through. This is one reason for rising suicides in schools and colleges and also drugs. Teach them culture and religious norms.

Remember life is finite and ultimately you are reduced to a small pitcher of ashes. Build healthy society around you and leave good manners, intelligence, morality in posterity
